Young Maggie's for Families
The vision is to create a stand-alone Centre that sits side-by-side with mainstream medicine in close proximity to medical care, where parents, carers and family can drop in, meet up with other parents, have some time out, recharge in a non-clinical space surrounded by nature and seek free psychological support if needed.
Young Maggie's is inspired by the UK Maggie Centres, which support adult cancer patients, their family and friends.
Our vision is to adapt the Maggie's model, specialising in supporting parents of children and young people (0-25 years) who are living with acute, chronic or life-threatening illness or whose condition is palliative.
